What Premium members get, every month.

Four examples from the December 2026 digest, drawn from real rule changes and life events. This is what lands in a Premium member's inbox.

Rule-change alert

Your state's ABLE contribution limit rose to $20,000.

Illinois indexed its 2026 annual contribution limit to $20,000, up from $18,000 in 2025. If you're currently contributing the max, adjust your auto-deposit before January 1 to capture the additional $2,000 of tax-free growth room.

Your current contribution: $1,500/month. If you raise to $1,666/month, you capture the full new limit. Estimated additional tax-free balance in year 20 at 7% growth: $8,400.
Personalized digest

Your daughter turns 26 next month. Here's what changes.

Under the ABLE Age Adjustment Act, your daughter still qualifies for ABLE because her onset was before age 46. But she loses eligibility for coverage under your family's health plan on your birthday next month unless she was enrolled in a Special Needs Continuation program. Here's how to check.

Three-step checklist. 1. Confirm her SSA disability status. 2. If yes, request family plan continuation under state law. 3. If no, evaluate her state's Medicaid Buy-In program.
Tax planning

Your ABLE contributions this year make you eligible for the Saver's Credit.

You contributed $4,800 to your ABLE account in 2026 and your AGI puts you in the 50% Saver's Credit tier. That's a $1,000 tax credit you can claim on Form 8880. Most people miss this. Print this page and hand it to your tax preparer.

Estimated 2026 Saver's Credit: $1,000. Documentation needed. Form 5498-QA (state sends in January) plus your ABLE plan statement.
Rule-change alert

SSI resource limit is expected to move in the 2027 congressional package.

Two bipartisan proposals in the current session would raise the SSI resource limit from $2,000 (unchanged since 1989) to $10,000. If either passes, your non-ABLE savings strategy changes materially. We'll notify you the day the bill becomes law.

Neither bill has cleared committee yet. Estimated probability of enactment by end of 2027: high. We update this estimate weekly.

For financial institutions and employers.

REACHABLE partners with financial institutions to offer disability-informed financial planning to their clients with disabilities, and with employers to include REACHABLE in their benefits stack as a Section 503 compliance and retention instrument. If you represent a bank, brokerage, HR benefits team, or federal contractor, we would love to talk.
